First, solid wood furniture has different wood grains on every board and the grain goes all of the way to the edge. If the grain doesn't go all the way to the edge of the piece (had a band of wood covering the edge), beware as this banding may cover particleboard and the piece is a cheap veneer.
A final note: while their furniture is great, do not go in expecting to get single-piece custom made from purpleheart and the tears of virgins. The stuff is made in an "industrial" woodworking shop in batches and most of their stock is made out of alder, maple, oak, etc. Mostly lighter woods that you can stain or merely put a protective coat over."
